Bloodplums

Bloody good punk rock since 2009.

From the depths of the underappreciated Atlanta music scene comes the brutally honest music of Bloodplums. Cut from the same cloth as The Stooges, Bad Brains, Minor Threat and Death, the four-piece band delivers high-octane, socially conscious music with a big fuck you attitude. Over vicious guitar licks and thunderous rhythms, they sing about America, question the status quo and emphasize the societal ills most of us choose to ignore.

‘Punk rock’ is a word used by dilettantes and heartless manipulators about music that takes up the energies, the bodies, the hearts, the souls, the time and the minds of young men who give everything they have to it.”

-Iggy Pop

Musically, their sound is aggressive, traversing a thin line between chaotic hard-core noise and raw gritty garage rock. Lyrically, they sugar coat nothing, voicing volatile opinions that will bring praise from just as many as they piss off.

Bloodplums are a band you listen to when you need to blow off some steam, when you become numb to the concerns of society or when you just need to hear some damn good music.

What started out as a joke has turned into no laughing matter as Bloodplums deliver a blow of sound to the “bloody plums,” an experience that should never be taken lightly.
